FRONTIER end tables
The Frontier End Table explores human involvement in nature. Its form suggests natural topography, while its materials question whether the organic can be synthesized by machine. This concept is meant to question whether we can use technology to fight climate change and create beauty that is akin to handcraft. Using sonification, audio clips of redwoods burning at Big Basin, CA in 2020 were converted into forms and connections between the wood and stone.
