Curved melon totem (large)

The Curved Melon Totem is made out of several glazed ceramic melon shaped objects that are laced on top of each other like beads on a necklace. The various bumped and dented melons are inspired by the organic process of decomposition internal process that directly effects its exterior and surface. Each melon places itself in a different time frame. |n total, as a light installation or lamp-piece, the Curved Melon Totem takes shape as a creature like sculpture in which functionality, shape and texture are explored.
