GEMMA BARR

Gemma is a designer/artist from Scotland (b. 1992), graduated from the Glasgow Caledonian University (2014) and now has a studio based in Eindhoven, Netherlands. She feels fulfillment in crossing the boundaries of art and design by exploring materials, sculpture, current issues and speculation. In the works, handcraft techniques are used with influences of futurism to create pieces that encourage the audience to contemplate alternative realities, bringing fantasy alongside probability in to a functional setting.
