If a glance is worth

If a glance is worth

Alvin Toffler said that the 20th century (historically ended with the dissolution of the USSR and the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989), would really give way to the 21st century when computers learned to communicate with each other.

In 2021, despite two years of pandemic and restrictions, we can say that Toffler’s forecast has been fully met. The network dominates the entire planet and has brought about substantial changes in the way of understanding Art and its periphery. The connectivity of the different agents that make up the collective (artists, gallery owners, curators, collectors, museums …) is a tangible fact that is marking all the activity.

While those responsible for the planet are making frog leaps between viruses and the economy, the financiers and the Stock Market increasing their profits, the phenomenon of popular rapprochement of the world of Art through the Internet, is gaining space by giant steps.

We think that such popularization of Art and its environment through digital platforms entails a certain distancing from the interpersonal relationship and a certain conceptual coldness, both in the contemplation of the works and in their meditation.

For this reason, we periodically write these small comments, which we want to be a dialogue with all of you. The letters, the literary composition, give warmth to the purely commercial activity.

At the end of the year, we want to expand on our purpose, present different arguments and points of view, to establish greater communication with everyone. 2022 will be a kinder year if we get it!
